For wine aficionados, the spring is a time of exhilaration. Three prominent festivals this season blend entertainment and generosity with proceeds benefiting local charities. April kicks off the wine-tasting journey at the Bern’s Winefest from the 11 through 14 with savory wine tastings, seminars and an incomparable cocktail soiree on Saturday, April 12. “Premier Beverage and Bacardi are the sponsors of the Saturday Soiree, which will feature live music by the Lounge Cats and fantastic food and spirit combinations,” said David Laxer, owner of Bern’s Family of Legends.
Wine lovers acquiring more palate-pleasing festivities can travel to The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota April 24 through 27 for the 18th annual Florida Winefest and Auction. Along with the delicious 22 winemaker dinners, wine and food tasting, the occasion is set around a theme of compassion, with a live charity auction benefiting over 70 different organizations in Sarasota and Manatee counties.
On May 15 through 17 the Tampa Bay Food and Wine Festival at the striking Don CeSar Resort on St. Petersburg beach is sure to satisfy with featured chefs and wine experts educating guests on their culinary favorites. Proceeds will benefit the Abilities Foundation.
