Vivek & Sharmila Seth

Tampa couple, Vivek and Sharmila Seth, founded the children’s charity, Children Across Borders (CAB), to give back to the community they call home and extend support to the country where they grew up. The charity focuses on children in the areas of education, shelter and wellness. “To allow these children an opportunity to develop into the next generation of leaders, thinkers and entrepreneurs, CAB strives to provide them a quality education, shelter and necessary healthcare, while increasing their awareness of personal health and wellness,” said Vivek Seth.

Locally, CAB supports educational programs at Academy Prep and Pepin Academies, helps homeless children get off the streets with Starting Right Now, a guardian ad litem program at Voices for Children, pediatric cancer research and kids with cancer at 1Voice Foundation, and support for Train Up First, where high school student athletes learn life-skills. “Our beneficiary organizations are dedicated to advancing our objectives and are chosen with great care, while being held to the highest standards of accountability,” said Sharmila Seth.

CAB also supports six organizations in India. To date, more than $200,000 has been donated to its beneficiary organizations both in Tampa, FL and Bangalore & Goa, India. The couple will host Bollywood Nights on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Tampa Museum of Art, where guests will be transported to exotic India and experience Indian cuisine, specialty cocktails, entertainment and music, along with a live auction.
