“I am absolutely elated to be cooking at the fabled James Beard House,” said Chef Pierola. “ I have been lucky having had the opportunity to cook at the James Beard Awards one year, but never at his House. So for me, cooking at his home, his hearth, his place of family, warmth, and breaking bread, where over time, so many chefs I admire and respect have cooked, it is a thrill to say the least. I can cross it off my bucket list.”

“The James Beard Foundation is thrilled and honored to welcome Chef Pierola to the Beard House. She is incredibly worthy of our national attention – a chef who possesses a superlative sense of seasonality and creativity – and who is bringing the unique story of Tampa’s culinary cuisine, and her own family   heritage and influences to our guests,” remarked Izabela Wojcik, Director of House Programming at the James Beard Foundation. “This is exactly the kind of personal and regional celebration that the Beard House aspires to showcase in all our programs.”
The James Beard Foundation’s mission is to celebrate, nurture, and honor America’s diverse culinary heritage through programs that educate and inspire. The James Beard Foundation is at the center of America’s culinary community, dedicated to exploring the way food enriches our lives. Being invited to cook there is a privilege, and an honor, that only top chefs get to experience.   M
