National Mojito Day is Monday, July 11 and what better way to beat the summer heat than sipping on a deliciously cold cocktail! This year, go beyond the standard muddled mint mojito and celebrate with the Cruzan Mango Mojito and Cruzan Coconut Mojito.
The Cruzan Mango Mojito includes fresh mango that complements the bold, tropical flavor of Cruzan Mango Rum while the Cruzan Coconut Mojito combines Cruzan Coconut Rum with Cruzan Aged Light Rum, mixing together notes of vanilla and coconut for a one-of-a-kind flavor. Both cocktails are sure to refresh on a hot summer day.
Cruzan® Mango Mojito
1 part Cruzan® Mango Rum
4 chunks of Fresh Mango
Dash of Fresh Lime Juice
Splash of Simple Syrup
4-6 Fresh Mint Leaves
Method: Muddle mint and mango chunks with simple syrup in a tall glass. Add lime
juice, Cruzan® Mango Rum and ice. Stir and top with club soda. Garnish with mint.
Cruzan® Coconut Mojito
2 parts Cruzan® Aged Light
1 part Cruzan® Coconut Rum
8-10 Mint Leaves
2 Fresh Lme Wedges
1 tsp Sugar
Coconut Soda (or Coconut Water)
Method: Muddle Mint, Lime & sugar, top with Rums & ice. Shake 2 times to mix. Top with Coconut Soda. Garnish with mint and a lime twist.
