Tampa Pig Jig
More than 8,500 barbecue and music fans will converge on Tampa’s riverfront in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park for the 7th Annual Tampa Pig Jig, presented by USAmeriBank and RIPA & Associates on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017. The fundraiser, which has become one of Tampa’s premier community events, will include live music from award-winning artists, games, a silent auction, and delicious food and drinks.
The Tampa Pig Jig donates all proceeds from the event to NephCure Kidney International (NephCure), the only non-profit organization committed exclusively to finding a cure for the debilitating kidney disease, FSGS (Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis).
Grammy-award nominee for Best New Artist in 2016, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats will co-headline the 2017 Tampa Pig Jig. This soulful, Americana, and vintage rhythm and blues group will not disappoint. Hit-song “S.O.B.” granted his first No. 1 on a Billboard songs chart in 2015. This folk band’s handclap-infused set list will be sure to have you on your feet and dancing into the night, screaming along with him, “give me a drink!.”
The second co-headliners in 2017 is platinum-selling country artist Justin Moore. His stellar live shows feature his No. 1 hits like “Point At You” and “Lettin’ The Night Roll.” Moore has earned multiple ACM, ACA and ACC Award nominations, tallied millions of track sales and toured with the biggest names in the business.
“We are absolutely thrilled with how this year’s music lineup has come together” said Chris LaFace, Tampa Pig Jig Board Member. “To be fortunate enough to have both Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and Justin Moore co-headlining is a testament to how big of a festival the Pig Jig has become. Tampa is in for a great day of entertainment!”
