The Tampa Marriott Water Street has received the coveted AAA Four Diamond designation, marking this the first time the property has received the rating.

Hotels at this level are committed to providing every guest with a high degree of hospitality, with attentive service in upscale surroundings, according to AAA. Four Diamond Rated properties typically offer an extensive array of amenities and guest services.

FYI, just 6.3 percent of more than 27,000 AAA Inspected & Approved hotels receive the prestigious rating. Currently, just 1,722 hotels hotels hold the AAA Four Diamond Rating.

The Marriott Water Street is in the midst of a massive multi-phase, multi-year renovation. The property recently unveiled a new culinary partnership with world-renowned chef and restaurateur Richard Sandoval, who is spearheading the hotel’s food and beverage overhaul as part of the property’s renovation. The first RS Hospitality concept in the Tampa Bay area, Garrison Tavern, a new gastropub, opened in April 2019 and a second original concept will also open in the Marriott Water Street later in 2019. Renovations are complete on the hotel’s 727 guest rooms and 50,000 square feet of meeting and event space. All improvements to the hotel will be complete in late 2019.
