Since 1094, The Gasparilla Pirate Festival has been held in Tampa to the delight of the tens of thousands who attend. Organized by Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla and the City of Tampa, the festival is dedicated to the legend of captain José Gaspar (Gasparilla), a Spanish pirate who operated in Southwest Florida. Children’s Gasparilla Parade & Fireworks Extravaganza

The alcohol-free Ashley Homestore Children’s Parade presented by Chick-fil-A Tampa Bay takes place along Bayshore Blvd., beginning at Bay to Bay Blvd. and ends at Edison Avenue. Gasparilla Invasion Brunch

Gasparilla Invasion

Route: The Jose Gasparilla sets sail at the south end of Hillsborough Bay at 11:30a.m., sails north to Seddon Channel & docks at the Tampa Convention Center at 1:00 p.m. Gather friends and hop on a boat and follow along with the flotilla.

Gasparilla Parade of the Pirates

The parade has more than 100 decorated floats, 5 marching bands, over 50 distinct Krewes, and of course, pirates tossing beads. The Gasparilla Parade begins at Bay to Bay Blvd & Bayshore Blvd. It continues along Bayshore Blvd to Brorein St., turns east on Brorein St, into downtown Tampa. The Junior League of Tampa Gasparilla Invasion Party

Gasparilla Music Festival

Presented by Cigar City Brewing, the 9th annual festival will feature over 45 bands across 5 stages along Tampa’s Riverwalk. It has been announced that Brandi Carlile will be headlining on Saturday and Portugal. The Man will close out the festival on Sunday.
