A non-traditional theme and co-ed shower was important to expectant Tampa Bay parents Alan Bridges and Megan Swanagan, who are expecting a girl they have named Beyonca.

Enter event planning company, RSBP Events and lead planner, Kelly Feldman, who searched the internet for unique themes and ideas, and found a Vintage Parisian Circus theme and knew it would be perfect. Feldman hosted the shower in The Glass Room at Jackson’s Bistro serving traditional fair foods like popcorn, candy apples and cotton candy with flair. Jackson’s created off-the-menu delights such as mini-corn dogs, bite-sized grilled cheese with a shot of tomato soup and beef sliders. A candy buffet was created and a circus animal cake was created by Sweet Treats Cakery, in keeping with the orange and pink color scheme. As guests arrived, they were greeted by servers in cirque themed costumes and offered a choice of signature cocktails: “Baby-licious” (a pink martini) or “Beyonca’s Bellini” (a peach Bellini).

Guests also had the option of Alan’s favorite drink, vodka and soda- which was dubbed “Big Daddy Bridges.” Guests enjoyed a Ring Master with juggling act, ballon animals and magic tricks, and games such as bean bag toss, bowling baby bottles and a giant Jenga game. Feldman also incorporated a Head-Band Bar so guests could make custom headbands for the baby girl. As favors, guests received boxes of animal crackers decorated with circus animals, feathers and custom tags.
