Owner Deana Buckley, a Tampa native who grew up on Davis Islands, isn’t just hopping on the local art bandwagon — she’s been quietly doing the work, curating with the same care she gives artists from LA, New York, or even Serbia and the UK.
“I’ve always believed that Tampa Bay has exceptional artists whose work stands alongside the best,” Buckley says. “This show is about giving them the recognition they deserve — right here, at home.”
And it’s not just about showcasing talent. It’s about celebrating the community that’s helped nurture it — organizations like Tempus Projects and the Tampa Arts Alliance have laid the foundation for artists to thrive, and “Love of Local“ is a natural next step in that evolution.
