Lambeau Field and the Green Bay Packers are one of the most storied and popular stadiums in the United States, and they are the only team in the NFL that is owned by their fans. Consistently ranked number one for the “fan experience,” Lambeau seats 80,000 fans. As football season comes to an end, there is time to plan your Titletown, USA trip to Green Bay, WI and all that Lambeau Field and the Green Bay Packers have to offer even the biggest football fans, for the 2018-19 football season. Start by taking in a Packers Training Camp practice in August, open to the public. Witness a time honored tradition of the players riding kids’ bikes to the practice field, a must see. After, visit the Lambeau Field Atrium, offering a number of dining, entertainment and retail options for Packer fans.
Take the Lambeau Field Champions Tour where fans will get a first look at the state-of-the-art home turf that is legendary Lambeau Field. Head up to the exclusive Club Level for a look at the Legends Club and travel through the player’s tunnel to end up on the edge of the field to cheer, “Go Pack Go!” The Packers Hall of Fame showcases ninety years of riveting history and pure Packer adrenaline filling the two story space with exciting exhibits, including four Super Bowl trophies.
Last stop before the big game, get your gear on at the Packer Pro shop. With over 21,500 square feet of Packers apparel and memorabilia, fans will find everything green and gold from jerseys to hats, furniture, gadgets, and photos of Packers history.
While visiting Green Bay, fans will want to dine at some new and classic restaurants in town. First up, and right across from Lambeau Field, is Hinterland Brewery & Restaurant. Upon walking into Hinterland, you’ll feel the coziness and friendliness of an upscale, fine-dining restaurant in Northeastern Wisconsin. Hinterland, meaning a place untraveled and unknown, features menu items such as fresh fish as often as two times a day. Hinterland chefs also celebrate small, local growers and ranchers to provide extraordinary game and hand foraged mushrooms and heirloom produce. The variety results in a menu that evolves with the season and changes every day. Another must stop: A depot that has been transformed into what is now known as Titletown Brewing Company since 1996 and is officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Titletown Brewing Company is one of the original craft breweries to call Green Bay home.
Before the big game, fans come from all over to engage in the tailgating experience that takes place from as early as 11am, and it’s not just in the parking lot outside of Lambeau Field. From the simplest grills with burgers and brats, to the extravagant grills with the side burners with steaks, there are parties galore with music, entertainment, large screen TVs, and other fun activities for fans. Rain or shine, fans don’t miss this popular experience.
