The Audi Q6 e-tron Quattro

As you step into the Audi Q6 e-tron Quattro, surrounded by stunning flat screens and a futuristic heads-up display, you might just feel like you’re soaring in a jet. When you accelerate, you discover that might be true. This eco-friendly electric vehicle isn’t just a performance machine. With ample seating for five and a generous amount of cargo space, the Q6 is a true chameleon. Whether you’re running errands, grabbing a night on the town, or enjoying a family trip to the beaches, this car can transform into anything you need with just a few taps on the touchscreen.
My test weekend with Audi Tampa, was perfect, going from interstate driving to a dressed-up night on the town. Visibility for lane changing on the highway and city parallel parking was great and assisted by the cameras and monitoring system.
The ride can be customized to your preferences and conditions with multiple driving mode settings. A color-coded interior lens change colors for each of the power modes, adding extra drama as you switch from comfort to sport mode before take-off. You tend to forget you are driving an EV, which I think is a good thing. The visual cues, seat comfort, and handling are what you have come to expect from Audi. Unlike so many EVs, the Q6 e-tron is much more than an empty dash and a giant iPad screen. This is a luxury SUV that just so happens to be electric. Nothing has been compromised.
I know many of us have a certain concern about how far you can travel and what to do about powering back up. No need to worry; the Audi Q6 does a great job of letting you know how much “gas” you have remaining and how many miles you can expect to go. The regenerative braking captures so much power in-town that you can really extend the available miles. Charging options are easy and plentiful. The on-screen system can identify charging locations and even assist you in planning extended summer road trips.
The Audi Q6 has proven to me that you don’t have to sacrifice quality and luxury to enjoy the benefits of EV ownership. M
