Preview Sailing Voyage Aboard
The Margaritaville at Sea Islander

Fun in the sun, where it’s always 5 o’clock aboard the newly renovated Margaritaville at Sea Islander. Embarking on the VIP preview journey allowed METRO a glimpse into what’s to come. Departing from its new home, Port Tampa Bay, the Islander shined sailing into the Gulf of Mexico. With breathtaking views of the water and the Sunshine Skyway bridge as a backdrop, the ship prompted thoughts of all the future picturesque scenes to be enjoyed by the sailors.

Check-in and boarding the ship was effortless and fun as the crew was jubilant to welcome passengers on the ship. The ship is ideal to provide lasting memories for couples, families and friends. Guests were greeted with a champagne toast and welcomed aboard.

Upon entry into the tropical inspired stateroom, it was quite apparent that one truly becomes transported on an island getaway. Bright, yet simple, colors and comforting accommodations set the vibe to start and conclude each day.

After getting settled in the room and recalibrating the mindset, it was time to enjoy a libation at the Flip Flop Bar. Choosing this bar came natural as it was the focal point of the ship boasting a 14 story tropical atrium. The drinks were cold, tasty and bountiful as camaraderie energized the ship.

Before dinner, grabbing a bite proved to be the right choice as the Port of Indecision Buffet provides copious options of both hot and cold items. Nourishments to satisfy all appetites, no matter how big or small.

Wandering the top deck prior to dinner, allowed a peek at the outside amenities. Near the bow is Dis ’N Dat Activity Zone featuring a custom-designed mini golf and cornhole challenge courses, plus pickleball at sea. The three pool layout provides fun and relaxation for all guests.

Margaritaville at Sea IslanderDinner aboard the preview sailing consisted of a private dinner at the Islander Dining Room led by Eric Neuwirth, Margaritaville at Sea’s Vice President of Food and Beverage. During which, he spoke to the inspiration for setting the menu at each of the culinary outlets. The Miso Glazed Salmon and Chocolate Espresso Ice Box Cake were chosen favorites of the dining experience.
