From the moment of arrival, the home’s presence is undeniable. Spanning an impressive 19,935 square feet across three levels, the residence offers six bedrooms, four full baths, and two powder rooms, along with two double-car garages that accommodate both everyday convenience and elevated hosting. Yet beyond its scale, what truly defines this property is the experience it delivers and one that seamlessly transitions from intimate family moments to unforgettable gatherings.
In 2025, the homeowners partnered with a design team led by Debra Ackerbloom to thoughtfully reimagine the interiors, ensuring the home continues to evolve while honoring its architectural roots. “Every aspect from the flooring and architectural details to the furnishings, fixtures, and finishes was thoughtfully updated,” Ackerbloom shares. “We wanted to strike a balance between an inspired, contemporary look and the preservation of its timeless appeal.”
That balance is evident throughout the home. Traditional architectural elements provide a sense of structure and permanence, while curated furnishings and layered materials introduce a fresh, modern sensibility. Rich textures, bespoke millwork and a carefully edited palette create a sense of cohesion, allowing each room to feel distinct yet connected.
At the heart of the home, the kitchen is both functional and inviting—designed not only for daily living but also for effortless entertaining. An adjacent butler’s pantry enhances its versatility, allowing for seamless service during larger gatherings. Whether hosting a philanthropic event or a celebratory dinner with friends, the layout ensures that every occasion unfolds with ease.
The home’s living spaces are equally intentional. Grand yet welcoming, they are designed to encourage connection while maintaining a sense of comfort. “Our design inspiration was rooted in enduring elegance,” Ackerbloom explains. “We blended classic architectural materials with luxurious textiles and mixed-media art to create a setting that feels both warm and refined.” The result is an environment that feels collected rather than curated—where each piece contributes to a larger story of craftsmanship and style.
Art plays a defining role throughout the residence, adding depth and personality to each space. Carefully selected works complement the architecture without overwhelming it, creating moments of visual interest that unfold as you move through the home. This layered approach elevates the interiors, transforming them into an immersive experience rather than a series of rooms.
Despite its grandeur, the home remains deeply personal. Designed with family and friends in mind, it offers a variety of spaces that cater to both privacy and celebration. Quiet corners invite relaxation, while expansive entertaining areas set the stage for lively gatherings. It is this versatility that makes the residence not just impressive, but truly livable.
The marble and wood floors and the grand wrought iron staircase add focus and anchor the downstairs space. Five fireplaces add warmth and anchor rooms throughout the home. The game room is particularly striking with the wood paneled walls and balcony views down to the billiards table and American Shuffleboard for added entertainment.
Ultimately, this Davis Islands estate is more than a showcase of design—it is a reflection of a lifestyle defined by connection, celebration, and timeless beauty. Every detail, from the architectural framework to the finishing touches, has been considered with intention.
Here, luxury is not about excess, but about experience. And in this remarkable home, every experience is elevated. M
