Boom By the Bay: Hard Rock Takeover

The annual Boom by the Bay Hard Rock Takeover is hosting its 4th year of celebrating Independence Day. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino teams up with the City of Tampa to bring lots of fun excitement to locals and tourists for an especially momentous holiday. Mayor Jane Castor exclaims,“This is a day to come together and appreciate the beauty of our city and spirit of togetherness. This will be the highlight of the summer.” Fun filled features include a Pickle Ball Tournament, Apple Pie Bake-Off, Free Concert, Food Trucks and Fireworks. Kid Friendly activations such as face painting, bounce houses, sack races and corn hole.

Festivities begin at 4 p.m. and end with a boom as fireworks light up the sky at dusk.

Sparkman Wharf is celebrating Independence Day with its 5th annual Star Spangled Sparkman— a staple community event with entertainment for all ages. Guests will have a spectacular waterfront view of the fireworks show as one of Tampa Bay’s prime viewing locations.

The festivities kick off on Tuesday, July 4 at 4:00 p.m. Family-friendly activities will include live entertainment, a game zone on the wharf, roaming entertainment, food and beverage specials and more. Guests will enjoy optimal viewing of the annual Blessing of the Fleet, followed by the Boat Parade and Water Ski Show presented by Friends of the Tampa Riverwalk. The evening will conclude with a spectacular firework display.

The event is free and open to the public. Sparkman Wharf will be limiting capacity— guests are encouraged to arrive early.

St. Petersburg will host their 3rd annual “The Fourth” Independence Day Celebration at the St. Pete Pier featuring fun filled activities for all. The festivities to include the 3rd annual St. Pete Pier Run, Craft Beer Garden, Uncle Sams Market, Family Fun Zone, Food Trucks and Vendors. Live Music on the Visit St. Pete Clearwater Main Stage and roaming entertainment will surely have the whole family intrigued and entertained.

The traditional Fourth of July fireworks show sponsored by the City of St. Petersburg is scheduled for Tuesday, July 4, at 9 pm and will be visible from the entire Downtown waterfront.
