Dalí & The Impressionists:
Monet, Renoir, Degas & More

 

Salvador Dalí transcended art styles throughout his career. The Impressionists approach was embraced in his youth and allowed him to explore the gap between Impressionism and Surrealism.

Explore for yourself, as The Dalí Museum showcases various pieces of Impressionist art from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston alongside Dalí’s early works. Artists such as Claude Monet, Peirre-Auguste Renoir, Edourard Manet, Edgar Degas, Paul Gaugin, Paul Cézanne, Henri Matisse and more are on view through April 28, 2024.

For many of the pieces on display, it will be the first time on view in Florida, providing a chance to appreciate these French Impressionist master pieces right here in Tampa Bay.

The similarities between the works of art Impressionism produced, and Dalí’s talent can be seen in a variety of the pieces on display. Sure to excite art enthusiasts of any level, and fun for the family as the Dalí aims to captivate through sensory rich showings of timeless exhibits.

An interactive experience is offered as well within the Dalí & the Impressionists exhibit. Guests have the opportunity to allow AI to create an Impressionist selfie with the Museum’s “YOUR PORTRAIT” feature. This personalized lesson for guests shows the styles behind these works including textures, color and light often associated with the movement.

The Dalí Museum appreciates the efforts put forth by the Fine Arts Museum, Boston in this incredible exhibit as it truly compliments the vast collection of Dalí works at the world renowned museum. “We are profoundly grateful for the generosity of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and its trustees,” said Hine. “The enthusiastic spirit of the director and MFA staff have enabled this exhibition. We look forward to sharing these iconic artists’ works with our community and witnessing the dialogue that will occur by presenting them with Dalí.”
