Honoring Racing Legend Dan Wheldon
The Lionheart Movie Debuts on HBO and MAX

It was a great way to kick off the INDYCAR Series season in St. Petersburg, and honor the late Dan Wheldon with the premier of the movie The Lionheart that showcases the two-time Indianapolis 500 champion, and his family Susie Wheldon and their sons, Sebastian (15) and Oliver (13). The movie was three years in the making and followed Susie and the boys as Susie honors Dan’s legacy with championing their sons to follow his footsteps into the world of auto racing.

Invited guests enjoyed the premier along with Susie, Sebastian and Oliver and the Director and Producer Laura Brownson and many cast and crew. Former St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Baker had an appearance in the movie and helped to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Firestone Grand six of St. Petersburg presented by RP Funding held March 8-10, 2024 in downtown St. Petersburg.
