Melting Pot Social Tampa

Melting Pot Social (MeltSO)
Keep on Dipping in Downtown Tampa

Known by the nickname of MeltSo to locals since opening in May 2023 in downtown Tampa, MeltSo is quickly becoming a hot spot for meeting up with friends for cocktails, lunch or dinner. The close proximity to the Straz Center located at the base of the AVE Tampa Riverwalk Apartment building, makes MeltSo the perfect spot to enjoy a crafted cocktail or bite to eat before or after a show.

The menu offers customizable fondue options of cheese and chocolate, shareable plates, burgers and more. Dippers include pickle fries, churros, macarons and various fruits and veggies. We especially liked the FGT Stack — a fried stack of green tomatoes, served with Carolina red slaw and angry ranch for dipping.

Crafted cocktails made just for the Tampa area include the 813 Spritz – made with Conniption Kinship Gin, passion fruit purée, grapefruit and lemon juices, and prosecco, or Smoked On The Bay Old Fashioned — made with Horse Soldier Bourbon, Gasparilla Banana Bread Rum, Kahlúa, black walnut bitters, orange peel, black cherry, and served smoking.

Local craft beers are on tap and the chef has even included Big Storm Wavemaker as the beer base in the cheddar cheese fondue. Create your own cheese fondue including the Monterey or the popular The Queso Fuego with cheddar and emmenthaler cheese fresh salsa, green onion, tortilla chips and jalapeño flambe. Dippers include pretzel bread, tomatoes, broccoli, apples and potatoes.

The Spiced Sticky Ribs and an order of the six cheese Mac ’n Cheese are comfort foods worthy of indulging. There is a white chocolate Wildberry Fodue, but our favorite for chocolate lovers is the S’mores. The rich, delicious chocolate is served in mini-fondue pot with marsh mellows, strawberries, bananas, brownies and pound cake. Just say ‘YUM’ and no campfire is required.

Open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
