Guests staying at the Waterstone Resort & Marina receive all the benefits of a flagged hotel (Doubletree by Hilton), with the feel and service of a boutique hotel. Just over a year-old renovation has created a unique property that blends coastal chic and breezy artistic design. The hotel commissioned artwork from local artists in the library and entry areas to blend two components – water and stone, that inspired the name of the property.

Each of the 139 guest rooms, including 11 suites, offer private balconies and water views. The hotel is located on Lake Boca at the Atlantic Ocean inlet and one block from the beach. Available on-site are various water sports, boating and sailing offerings, along with bike rentals. Guests can coordinate for a catamaran cruise, jet skiing, kayaking, surfing or stand-up paddle  boarding, or be at the beach in under five minutes on a complimentary shuttle ride. The pool provides plenty of fun in the sun and views of the Intracoastal. The perfect spot to grab a lounge chair, a cocktail and just relax.

There is no need to leave the property to have a delicious meal. Dining options include Boca Landing and Waterstone Bar and Grill, each with menu items that are locally sourced. Dine al fresco for a romantic dinner at Boca Landing – with the stunning views of Lake Boca and the Intracoastal, or inside with the nicely appointed art-inspired décor. Chef Matt Mixon has created a menu that reflects his French and Italian heritage. Start with the Gumbas Crispy Fried Calamari, or a Grand Platter from  the Raw Bar that includes oysters, clams, shrimp, tuna tartar, rock shrimp ceviche and lobster tail. Entrees include a variety  of fish selections including the Mango Mustard Glazed Atlantic Salmon, Jerk Mahi-Mahi or Grilled Swordfish. The Double Cut Pork Chop served with mushroom risotto and brussel sprouts, or a NY Strip or Filet Mignon will satisfy the meat lovers. The Lobster Mac & Cheese is a nice side complement to the meal. Enjoy a sweet ending with the Molten Chocolate Cake, Carrot Pudding Cake or Creme Brulé.

Waterstone Bar & Grill offers Boca Raton’s only dock-to-dine on the Intracoastal Waterway. It offers casual breakfast, lunch and dinner menus in a relaxed, breezy, outdoor setting.

A weekend stay puts guests in the center of beautiful beaches, fine dining, golfing and a variety of shopping at the Boca Raton Town Center, Mizner Park  and downtown Boca Raton.      M
