Bern’s Steak House, along with sister properties Haven and the Epicurean Hotel, recently celebrated the 28th annual Bern’s Winefest, a weeklong showcase of world-class wine and cuisine in South Tampa.

Bern’s Winefest was held April 21- 27, 2025 and presented by the Laxer Family Foundation, the event raised funds for the Bern Laxer Memorial Scholarship and welcomed wine enthusiasts to South Tampa for a curated lineup of tastings, seminars, and dining experiences.

A standout Winefest event was a five-course dinner at Haven featuring the wines of Paul Hobbs, one of the industry’s most respected figures. As the evening’s guest of honor, Hobbs led guests through a guided tasting of his acclaimed wines, paired with dishes by Executive Chef Chad Johnson and Chef de Cuisine Gerry Sizemore.

The week-long festival concluded with the Winefest Grand Tasting at Haven, where guests explored a global selection of wines and craft libations, paired with regional fare and desserts from the Bern’s culinary team. Curated by Wine Director Chris Belk, the tasting offered a fitting and unforgettable finale to the week.   M
