Counter Culture in South Tampa

Once again, Chef Jeannie Pierola adapts and changes with the current market conditions of the COVID-19 crisis. Starting today fans of Chef Pierola, and her culinary teams, will enjoy a menu chocked full of favorites from edison, swigamajig® and COUNTER CULTURE. The menu offers modern comfort food, along with a selection of curated wines and beers, that is available for easy and no contact pick up at COUNTER CULTURE located in South Tampa.

“We fell in love with this Bay to Bay location because of the way the Bayshore views flow into the space,” says Chef Jeannie Pierola. “But we now recognize we are lucky to have the perfect spot to stage a POP UP PICK UP. Offering this easy and safe no contact pick up service will allow us to support our employees and to continue to serve our community during this time of uncertainty.”

A small culinary team has been assembled from all three of Pierola’s restaurants and will work in the pristine kitchen, handling and preparing food with care and in accordance with all public health regulations, industry guidelines and government directives.

Menu items include edison food + drink lab favorites including the Buffalo Cauliflower, Burrata and Blackened Magret Duck Breast. From swigamajig® enjoy Dive Bar Fish + Chips or Jerked Fresh Fish Sandwich or Tarpon Springs Charred Octopus Greek Salad. COUNTER CULTURE showcases favorites including a selection of veggies – baby carrots, butternut squash and the wood fired brown butter Medjool Dates, along with a Rib Eye Steak, The P Cheeseburger, and the Ricotta Donuts or Warm Chocolate Cake for dessert.

Chef Jeannie Pierola is a local Tampa Bay powerhouse and 5x James Beard Semifinalist known for her use of fine components and fresh flavor combinations to create plates of memorable modern cuisine. She’s been at the helm of her award winning brand edison: food+drink lab for the past seven years, and in 2018 launched swigamajig–edison’s divebar and fishkitchen at Sparkman Wharf. COUNTER CULTURE opened in late 2019. Pierola’s company, Chef Driven Restaurant Group, focuses on creating and developing restaurant, bar and menu concepts that are chef driven by design.

The Pop Up Pick Up is easy and simple – just review the menu at and order by phone and prepay with a credit card. Once you arrive, simple call and the order will be placed on the patio for guests to pick up.
